Ozark pushes drain intervals to 75,000 miles/120700 km with delo
Memphis-based Ozark Motor Lines is an irregular-route truckload carrier serving customers across the continental U.S. Founded in 1961, the company today operates a fleet of over 700 tractors, but is still a family-owned company run by the sons of its founders. A rigorous maintenance program is critical to Ozark’s on-time delivery performance, which is ultimately the key to the company’s success and longevity.
Since 2003, Ozark has relied on Delo® heavy duty engine oils. In previous years, the maintenance crew performed oil changes every 25,000 miles/40234 km. With Delo, however, they gradually increased drain intervals. Now, with the Delo 400 SAE 5W-30 full synthetic, they are going as long as 75,000 miles/1120700 km between changes – and considering going to 100,000 miles/160934 km. Using Delo, Ozark is confident its trucks can go a million miles. Watch there story below and see how a Detroit Diesel 15 engine looks after 435,000 miles/700064 km on Delo.
